Experiencing Loss

All of us have experienced personal loss in our lives--but no loss creates greater emotional pain than to lose a loved one in death--particularly when that loss is premature. All this week our host and teacher Dr. Gene Getz will introduce you to people who have had this kind of loss--a parent, a child, a mate. The apostle Paul told us that as Christians we can forget what is behind and press on towards what is ahead. This does not mean that we will forget the facts of what happened in our lives that are painful. However, through proper grief and trusting God, the pain can disappear and we can see God's purpose in it all. God does understand our pain, our hurts, and our losses in life. He sees each fallen tear and He is concerned. Join us as Gene talks with his special guests about their personal losses and how they experienced God's mercy during these difficult times in their lives.
