Discovery, The World and the Flesh

The Bible speaks of three things that are enemies of God—and of Christians—the world, the flesh and the devil. The Bible also teaches that we should be in the world but not a part of the world. How can this be? The apostle John wrote to Christians and said—“do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father, but from the world.
